"Can you remember back to your own childhood? What questions about life
and the future haunted you? I have become more aware of the changes in life.
I now have a son who is driving. Need I say more? However, I seem to have
locked into thinking of my kids as my "little ones." Even when I pray I ask
God to take care of my "babies." No matter how big they grow, (both of mine
are quite rapid growers), I will always think of them as the ones I held in
my arms as I would try to lull them to sleep.
"On a greater scale, our Heavenly Father is the ultimate in consistency.
He never changes (Hebrews 13:8). To Him we are forever a delight. It’s
hard to believe, but every morning He sees something different than what
I see in the mirror. But that’s what Daddies do! I can’t slow down the
march of time, but like the image in the mirror of the painting, we can
choose to see our kids through loving eyes."
