"It was all there before me — I just had to
try to paint what I saw. The horses were
a bonus — roaming, playing, and galloping
around in the sun-kissed fields. It was
almost as if they, too, sensed how magical
this moment was. Their reaction to the
warm sun, the morning breeze, the fresh,
dewy fields, the glistening sea beyond, and
the freedom of it all was one of pure,
unbridled enthusiasm. Their exuberant
demeanor best expressed the essence of
the morning that I wanted to capture in
my painting."
