Print Description:

I take a great deal of pleasure in finding out-of-the-way places, small wonders that sometimes seem to go unnoticed when they're transformed into works of art like Hidden Cottage II. I discovered this inspiration in the town of Carmel by the Sea where there are lovely little cottages bathed in my favorite light: strong, oblique rays of sun that paint long, feathery shadows on the ground as they pass through the slats of the antique wooden gate.

Great cottages like this are built by people who understand the urge to explore; they're always half-hidden behind hedges, fences, at the far end of long gardens. That's why I like them so.
