JTS Accreditation
Seminary Accreditation
Jacksonville Theological Seminary (JTS) is registered with the
Commission for Independent Education of the Florida Department of Education as a religious institution, and
therefore is exempt from licensure by Florida state statute.
JTS is proud to be accredited by the Accrediting Commission International, Inc. ACI is not affiliated with any governmental accrediting agency, and is solely committed to Christian education.
JTS is also affiliated with the American Association of Christian Counselors (AACC.) As a result, JTS graduates have the opportunity to become members with AACC which has become the leading organization for professional, pastoral and lay counselors.
The purpose of accreditation is as follows:
- Certify that an institution has met the established standards of excellence.
- Assist prospective students in identifying reputable institutions which offer degree programs
that will meet their needs and goals.
- Allow institutions to evaluate the acceptability of tranfer credits into their own curricula programs.
