sure that He will "sculpt" them. Notice in this painting that outwardly, the woman needs
no work. However, the Master has the ability to look deep inside and see the cracks
forming that, if not taken care of, will eventually undo each of us.
This extraordinary painting demonstrates man as the clay and God's loving hands at work. It offers
the perfect encouragement that while sometimes the growth process comes through pain,
God can gently mold the yielded soul.
As G. H. Knight remarked, "Nothing is more certain than that we will be perfectly satisfied with His work
when we see it finished. Why should we not be satisfied now when He tells us what a glorious finish
He will make, and leave to Him the choosing of the tools?"
