The Invitation

In God's Hands by Danny Hahlbohm was painted in rememberance of those who lost loved ones in the New York City tragedy on September 11, 2001. On that day, America
as a whole united together.

The Bible reminds us in Psalm 27:1-3 of God's protection over us. It reads, "The Lord is my light and my salvation, whom shall I fear? The Lord is the stronghold of my life, of whom shall I be afraid? When evil men advance against me to devour my flesh, when my enemies and my foes attack me, they will stumble and fall. Though an army besiege me, my heart will not fear; though war break out against me, even then will I be confident."

Danny shares his thoughts regarding the events that inspired him to paint In God's Hands:

"We have all seen and recognized the heroism of our firefighters and police throughout this terrible ordeal. These men are indeed real heroes. They always have been. I am so glad they are finally getting the recognition they have so long deserved for many years. Many years!

Yes, it is good we recognize the many heroes and heroic deeds which have taken place.
I only hope we also, as a nation in whole, further recognize and give recognition to the "Commander in Chief" -- GOD! That we give due tribute and re-establish Him back in full standing, into this country, a country originally founded and based on that recognition.

So many in this country have fought to take God out of our establishments, our schools, our media and even our prayers. This country has gone so far from our original foundation that even our leaders are afraid to say the word GOD. When this great nation was originally formed, our leaders and founding fathers were not afraid. They mentioned and gave tribute and honor to God in every document and establishment formed, even to the extent of placing it on our currency! Perhaps we once again will give due reverence where it justly needs to be, back in America! One nation under GOD!"
