"We originally bought Twiglet for Granny, who wanted to have a nice, little, well-behaved cat
for company. But after one night of Twiglet running up and down her curtains and rearranging her ornaments, she
had to admit he was too much for her. We soon had Twiglet back with us; he became our son Julian's cat, and
they were instantly inseparable.
Twiglet is noted for his keen interest in fishing, particularly around our neighbors' garden pond, which
sparked my inspiration for this painting. What surprised me, however, was how the reflection of Twiglet's
face turned into an art deco design as I was painting it."
