"At noon each day I tune my TV set to a channel that shows old movies. One day, a goodie featured
my favorite cowboy actor, John Wayne, in a rags-to-riches type story. A small group of folks who
have been given the name of 'wildcatters' were seeking to strike it big, and rich, in the oil-well
drilling business. They eventually did, and that movie was instrumental in this painting."
