This king
has placed himself in a position of power, surrounded by his symbols of pride
and puffery, but perhaps he should be more self-aware to see that his "kingdom" is
precariously balanced and it wouldn't take much to upset it.
The bust of a Roman emperor, a frog, and a haughty Persian cat are symbols of
pride and puffery. The boat is a symbol of our journey in life. Here, too, is
a butterfly, symbol of the soul, with a missing wing: a soul unable to fly on
in its spiritual journey. |
