Print Description:

"Sometimes I think the memories of youth are better than it really was. As I conceived this painting, a flood of memories came back of the times my brother and I spent together. I tried to hold this nostalgic feeling as I worked on the painting. We were always playing in some back alley or vacant lot behind some old barn or building. We would flip coins to decide just about anything — from figuring out what we would do that day to who would be the team captain. All major and minor decisions were decided with a flip. If there were only two of us, it would be heads or tails; if there were more than two, it would be Odd Man Out."
