| This embossed, hand-pulled serigraph by G. Harvey was produced on a 12-ton Voirin press built in France over a century ago - the same type of flat-bed press used by Picasso and Toulouse-Lautrec. Only a handful of these presses remain in existence today, and it is the only one of its kind in the United States.
These graphics required a drawing, done entirely by hand, for each individual plate. Then sixteen separate plates were inked and hand-pulled one at a time. |
