Don't put off repentance. |

humbled himself; but Amon trespassed more and more" (II Chronicles 33:23). |
Memory Verse |
"Behold, now is the day of salvation" (II Corinthians 6:2). |
Application |
To Christians who are living out of God's will, allow this rephrasing of the above-mentioned
verse from II Corinthians: "Behold, now is the day of repentance." |
Spiritual Epitaph |
"And his servants conspired against him, and slew him in his own house" (II Chronicles 33:24). |
Little is said of the vile king who reigned just two years, but what is said speakes
volumes. "He did that which was evil in the sight of the LORD, as did Manasseh his
father ... but .. trespassed more and more" (II Chronicles 33:22-23). That Amon
is linked to his father in the magnitude of his sin is indeed a blaring condemnation
of his life. That he continued to add to it is almost unimaginable. If Amon had any
thoughts of repenting as his father had done, his plans were cut short when his
own officials conspired against him and assassinated him.
