Braldt Bralds, whose best-selling views of domestic whimsy were lauded in the February 1997 issue of Cats
and Cat Fancy, is using his new-found fame to accomplish a long-time dream, namely to create Nine Lives.
"It's a series of portraits of nine different breeds, published individually
as inkjet prints the same size as the originals, and in three groups of three," he explains. "Each trio will show
one longhaired and two shorthaired breeds. I can assure you that not one cat will look too closely like another."
This trio contains the following three prints: Snowshoe, Persian, and British Blue Shorthair.
In addition to Bralds' artistry, each print is value-priced, so the collector can more easily acquire all nine, and
the suites are printed on a special art-quality polymer material and then mounted on a conservation board so they can be framed without glass.
Depending upon your interests, the Nine Lives can also be grouped and
displayed in many different ways. "Wait until you see the others," Braldt says with a distinctly Cheshire cat grin.
"Angora, Siamese, Abyssinian, even Maine Coon. Just wait and see!"
