Family	Orphan daughter of Abihail and an unnamed mother who was adopted by her cousin Mordecai of the tribe of Benjamin, became part of a royal harem, and eventually married Ahasuerus — the king of Persia.
Occupation	Queen of Persia
Best Known As	The queen (formerly known as Hadassah) who saved her people (the Jews) from genocide by boldly speaking up before King Ahasuerus and exploiting Haman's plot to destroy them.
